2009 Wisconsin Deer Classic And Hunting Expo

We made the trip to Green Bay, Wisconsin again for the 2009 Wisconsin Deer Classic and Hunting Expo.  There was a lot of cool stuff there to look at and some great seminars.

I was able to stop and chat with Greg Miller for a bit.  We had an interesting discussion about archery equipment and bow hunting Wisconsin whitetails.  I also purchased a camo "In-Pursuit" hat and had Greg and his son Jake sign it.  Both Greg and Jake are very down-to-earth people.

The seminars were great again.  Greg Miller's seminar was about hunting some midwest states for not much more than the cost of an over-the-counter tag.  Highlights included some hunts from the fall of 2008 in South Dakota, Nebraska, Indiana and Kentucky.  This was the second time I've attended one of Greg's seminars and they are always great.

Steve Bartylla had a great seminar on hunting pressured whitetails.  I've read a few of Steve's articles, but this was the first time I was able to hear him speak.  If you ever have a chance to attend a seminar by Greg Miller or Steve Bartylla, make sure you go to see them.  You will not be disappointed.

We also attended interesting seminars by CJ Winand and Roger Sigler.

The last note about the seminar was getting to see the "Decker Buck".  This buck became famous as the "Field & Stream" buck.  If you've seen pictures of it, they don't do it justice.  That buck is incredible!
