Wisconsin Gun Hunting Update - November 27, 2009

Posted by Chrud , 27 November 2009 · 492 views

Things finally turned around today.  Temperatures were in the 30's with clear skies and very little wind.

I didn't see any deer this morning.  I did watch three big gobblers for about 30 minutes.  All were pretty nice, but one had a beard that was dragging on the ground the whole time.

This afternoon I went back to my food plot.  I just leaned up against a tree.  I did see four deer though.  I bumped two on my walk in, which was a little unusual at that time of the day.  There was a really small one that walked behind me at about 4:00 PM and a doe came out on the far end of my food plot just before shooting hours ended.  Where were all these does early in the bow season?

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the last couple days of the gun season and for muzzleloader season.
