Wish me luck y'all.

My buddy nailed his Sat 10 1/4" beard, 17lbs, 3/4" spurs (a nice one). I'm going to the same spot tomorrow. I know there's a least one more in this area. Gonna need your best wishes folks.

Gobblers are all gifts from God as far as I'm concerned.

Wrestling with the decision to try the bow. 30yds I feel pretty confident. Further than that, I probably shouldn't try.

Welcome newbie Leo. Sure glad I saved your email address. Go get that old Tom Maybe you could try an arrow in your shotgun for those longer shots. Naa But good luck anyhow. Man I am really getting the itch but I can't scratch it till a couple of days after Easter in Kansas where I can smack two and then back to PA to smack at two more. With the excellent report I got at the hospital today I am on top of the world or something like that.

You know you can take both with you (bow/shotgun) and if the bird presents a bow shot Leo you're the man you have to stick him! Go for it Leo!

If you miss today there's tomorrow - right.
Good luck, we'll be routing for you buddy. ;)

Leo how did you do? Did you see the Ole Tom? Did you getter done? Shoot shot or arrows? Or did hang up on you and stayout of range? Hang tough and get the rascal. That's why we turkey hunt right - for love of the pursuit and the honor of the game we take.

Well I heard him at 4:45 PM this afternoon. Definately, close enough and hot. Unfortunately, he got spooked by someone driving by. It just wasn't meant to be. :(

Oh well maybe next time. Thanks for the well wishes folks, it was still an enjoyable hunt.

Also the blind I hunted out of did not have enough room to draw my bow, so it's shotgun only out of that one.
