I found out while at Elkatraz that my wife's mentally handicapped 73 yr old brother has a mass in his bowel near the rectum. I do not know what the treatment will be as of yet but so far things do not sound good for him. I am also very concerned about his 103 year old father and how he is going to take the news. So far the only two courses of action are operation with Chemo or a stint in the bowel and let things have their course. Neither option has much promise.

I finally got to see Larry today. Your prayers have worked. He has had an operation to remove the mass. They were able to resect the bowel so he did not need a colostomy. He looks good and was responsive. Looks like he will be getting out of the hospital next week.

An update on my bro-in-law Larry. He was progressing well in the hospital so they discharged him yesterday. Well he started vomiting, got diaherrea and might have had a bit of a temp so he has been readmitted as of today.
