Well the day started out good. Got up early and out the door we went. Got to our hunting place and Doug and I wished each other good hunting and to be safe. Took my time going to my tree stand didn't want to fall. Well this is the first thing to great me in the morning.

The sunrise was beautiful. Isat in my stand all day long, I didn't see my first deer until 11:30 am. It was three does up on the ridge and to far to get a good clean shot. The squirrells kept me busy and the chipmonks scuried all over the place. By noon Doug and I had a talk and decided that we would stay till dark, he was seeing deer but had not gotten any clear shots as of yet. Then around 4:30 I heard something to my left and as I stood and hugged the tree as not to highlite myself, a big fat doe walked right in as pretty as you please, there was some movement behind her and I waited to see what this deer would be, hey it a button buck so I decided not to take her because of that, but the button buck was nervious for some reason and kept looking back up the hill. As they started to walk away I kept my eye on the hill and low and behold out came HIIM. A nice 5 pointer.

I ot to weigh him and he field dressed out at 139 lbs. I also say those turkeys again today but they spied me this time and could not get any pictures of them. One of them had a beard that made a L shape. This bird is an old Tom and I sure would like to get him.

Wow Cuz that is great, congratulations. I have been thinking of forming an Old Geezer, can;t hit the broadside of the mountain club. I know you are not quite the age of Tom or I but with your hip still bothering you, you walk kind of geezery Lol. To join all you hve to do is send me a backstrap.
