well me and my granson got out to the stand early yesterday morn and sat ,and sat, and sat all day and didn't see a single deer ...which the wind was howling all day and by evening the wind was real bad so we hunted the hunting house that we built last season but still didn't see any deer...got up this morning and was running late but still went hunting ...got to the stand at 7:05 and at 7:15 a big doe came in at about 8o yards...stopped behind some big trees and the grandson couldn't see her so i finially leaned out enough from the stand to take a shot...wham and down she went after running 60 yards....we were sittng there going over the shot on the doe when the grandson says there's a buck 3 times...i ciuldn't see it but told him to shoulder his gun...well the buck stopped behind some more trees down wind of us and i could bearly see him ....i told my grandson to shoot as soon as he could get a shot...well the buck picked up our scent and started paceing around the cluster of tree's..the granson told me to shot if i could see him and i did but didn't touch a hair on him i guess..we waited for an hour went to where the buck was standind (which was next to the downed doe) and we found no blood or nothing except where the leaves were tore up as he was headed out of there...we followed until we got to the property line and still nothing so it was a clean miss...we stayed out until 10:30 then got the doe checked in. i have to work this evening or we'd be back trying for the buck..he was probily an 8 point and looked as if maybe about 17 in spread ...which is nice for the property we hunt...well here are a couple of pic's of the doe which is a big-un...lol enjoy as cj and i really did...the first is the doe and my grandson cj...the next is of me and the doe...

Thanks for sharing the hunt and the pics. Congratulations to both of you.
