Went out ice fishing today, finally got about 6-8 inches of ice. Caught a few, but I think a weather system is moving in here and the fish were not real active. Ate lots of dried venison and told a lot of lies so I guess it was a good day. Got the fillets soaking and planning a fish fry tomorrow night. Pics are of my son Dan and his friend Andy. You are so lucky! Most of the lakes around here only have an inch or less of ice around the edges and the rest is open :(

Man Jeff we are going to have another iceless season here in Nebraska. Most of the ice fisherman are headed to North Dakota again to get into some good ice. To far for me. It has been 3 yrs now since we have had safe ice to fish on. Well I can only look forward to our spring trip to Wilson Kansas for the stripers.

Hello All, Nice fish there. I'm Jiggleystickens formerly deerslayerstill from the old board. I lost the board but with the help of Jeremiah I have found it again. The pics of these fish sure get me itching to get out on the ice for some walleye and crappie. Ice has been poor this year due to the wierd warm temps and the rain. Hopefully a cold snap will be here soon. theres' only about a month or so to the fishing season left.
