Hey Guys,

I heard rumor and thought I would see if any of you have heard it too?

Did Michael Waddell leave Realtree?

I saw him at the ATA show and he didn't have any RT logo gear on and the same for SHOT show. He also was part of an raffle in which you could win hunts with TV celebrities and there was nothing said about Realtree being a part of it.

Just curious.

"Road Trips Honored With 2 Golden Moose Awards!

Realtree Road Trips Honored with Two Golden Moose Awards

The crowd went wild as "Realtree Road Trips" host Michael Waddell and producer Marc Womack walked on stage on two separate occasions to accept Golden Moose awards for the Best Turkey Footage and the coveted Fan Favorite categories during The Outdoor Channel's 7th Annual Golden Moose Awards Party.

Referred to by many as the "Outdoor Oscars," the Golden Moose Awards took place at the Hard Rock Caf? on January 13, during the 2007 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Orlando, Florida."

This is off the RealTree web site.

He is still with Realtree. His relatree rodatrips season 3 dvd just came out. I was lucky enough to get his autograph on it. He is on the hoyt prostaff now and does another show, but he is still a realtree guy.

I haven't heard anything. But, then again, I'm not as "hooked up" as I used to be. I'll ask around.

Mike's young Bill's old. I dont see Miker inheriting the Realtree empire( Tyler will get that). But moving on would definitely be in the cards for a young tv guy.

I talked to Michael Waddell at the SCI convention a couple days ago, he is still with realtree and going strong. Doing a lot more stuff with thompsons center and under armor now too. He is a really down to earth guy. Despite Huck calling me a "groupie", I managed to get a couple photos. :)

Thanks for the input guys. I posted this question on a couple boards and it is funny I got messages that said he isn't there anymore and then some that said he is. I guess time will tell.

This is from Scott Hughes of Realtree...

Michael has stepped out of the box as an official employee and is now contracted with us for years to come. The reason being is he can now do some things (like the GM deal) and not cause any problems for us and other retailers (or companies). He was just getting so many offers (understandably) and this affords him the freedom to do it.

And Realtree and Road Trips is part of that contract. It's really like nothing has changed. He's still in the office and Ashley (his wife) still works for us. Everything is cool.
