I have been suffering from cabin fever and have decided to something get me out of this winter funk. I am going to build 2 hen houses and see if I can't place them in an area where mallards might use them.
The supplies for 2 houses cost $60. Pretty cheap entertainment and could possible give you some great photo opportunities. :photo:
The instruction and material list can be found HERE.

I'll try and post pictures of the construction and placement of the nests and then hopefully some pictures of some ducklings.

If you are looking for something easy to do and to give back a little this a great project. It would be cool to see someone else try this too so we could compare notes and pictures.

Jack that gives me an idea. Since ducks are not very common right around here I thought some blue bird houses would be a good project as we have some around camp. Of course as soon as I find the instructions I downloaded for making wingbone calls I have a couple of those to play with.
If God had a refrigerator would your picture be on it.

Hey Paul, if you would like I can e-mail you some instrustions on building bluebird houses. I recieved a book about building birdhouses for Christmas and one house is for bluebirds. It has excellent pictures, drawings, material lists, and very good back ground on different birds. It's no problem for me to scan them and e-mail you them.

Thanks for the link Jack. I have a few summer projects in store now. Thanks
-Eric
