had a fun day yesterday....didn't have to work ,the sun was out bright , aand the temps were in the low 60's...sooooooooooo i got my fishing gear ready and went over to the lake and a friend met me there...we sat and talked for about 3 hours and only caught 2 little yellow strippers...then at around 5 :00 he hung a slab crappie and within seconds i hung another...we fished until 6:00 and we ended up with 6 big slabs that wpold go from 2 lb to 2 1/2 lb... he had already caught him several and took home so he gave me the ones that he caught ... i brought them home, felleted them and cooked up 3 of those big babbies...after i got thru eating them i was sooooooooo stuffed...but i'm planning on having the other 3 after i get off work this evening for my supper....no we did not catch a bunch but i saw some of my fishing friends that i've not seen most of the fall and winter so that made it a great time....

Tom glad your fishing trip went well but you are killing me dude. We finally got back up to above freezing and the water here is not bank fishing ready. moving way to fast and we still have ice covering some of it.
keep us up on how your fishing is going.

They are some nice Crappie anywhere! For me the old saying fits," A bad day of fishing is better than the best day at work!" :D

Too early here too. Infact Eric and I went to his friends house to cut wood and saw several people standing on a pond fishing through a hole in the ice.
