One of the recent additions to our site is the quick reply option. This is most likely a really dumb question but other than the very obvious is there any difference replying the old way or just doing it as a quick reply?

"Quick Reply" has always been a feature here. The only change is that now the option is always open instead of having to click the "Fast Reply" button to open the text box.

Quick reply is, as the name suggests, a faster option if all you need to do is type some text and move on. It's also faster as there is no need to load a new screen for the reply. However, if you need the additional features such as the clickable smilies menu and/or the BB code shortcut buttons than the full "Add Reply" button is for you.

FWIW, I just used the quick reply for this.
