Well, I'm hunting PA this year so you've already seen those dates.

We have really odd birds around here. Most beards freeze off at about 9 1/2 to 3/4 inches where they drag in the snow while feeding. I took one at 22 1/2 lbs. two years ago and Carol got one at 21 3/4 lbs. yet both bird's spurs where right at 1 inch. Carol's bird had a 9 3/4 inch beard and mine had a 9 7/8 inch beard. Therefore, they didn't score well. We'll see what happens.

Nate missed on some nice ones last year during his first season. I'd like ask to have him join in if you guys don't mind. I'm focusing more on him then my hunting any large birds. Let me know what you think guys, Jack?

Hey, do bearded Hens count in this game? Would they score more for being hard to come by?

I'd be happy to host any Western Boyz on an Eastern turkey hunt ! Even be able to line up some local talent to cook breakfast & call turkeys! Right Paul & Eric! ;)

It varies somewhat according to the hunting unit and whether it's a limited or unlimited tag, but April 14th through May 27th are the turkey season dates for we-inz out here in Colorado. I'm betting we'll still be wearing snow pants too.

And I can't believe I'm going to say this Jack, but I would prefer one of Melody's honey brined smoked wild turkeys with all the trimmin's to a box of Ho-Ho's any day. :)-
