My oldest daughter, Kristin, and I went fishing last week on the St. Croix river, a boundry between Minnesota and Wisconsin. We were fishing for walleyes, but ended up catching a lot of small-mouth bass and no legal size walleyes {walleyes must be 15" or better to keep}. Small mouth bass season was not open either so all fish were returned to the river. It rained the entire time we were out, but we caught a lot of fish so we didn't mind. Other fish caught were channel catfish and sheephead{fresh water drum}. My youngest daughter{Erin} and I are headed out next Monday to fish, along with Kristin. Dan and I usually hook up each weekend on the "Croix", he bought a 27ft. cabin cruiser last year, ain't much to fish out of, but sure is comfortable. Here are a few pics of Kristin and some bass she caught, the last one is looking south towards the I-94 bridge crossing from Wisconsin to Minnesota. Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Mudduck I got to handed it to you- you raised your kids right, fishing and hunting. Even fishing in the rain says a lot to me cause your fair weather fisher woman would have told you to go shove off and see you when I can sun myself while you catch those stinking fish

Thanks For sharing those great smile on your daughter's face and the smallies were cool too.
