That's right, the box call is perhaps the most versatile call a turkey hunter can carry. They are also one of the easiest calls to learn and probably produce the most realistic sounding yelp of any style call. Richard Kirby of Quaker Boy Game Calls once said, "If anyone were ever going to fool me in the woods with a call, it would be with a box call." Needless to say, I agree with him! I never go into the turkey woods without one.

Below are a few small video clips I put together several years ago to demonstrate box calls I used to make and sell at the time. However, I feel that simply watching them and seeing all of the vocalizations that can be produced and techniques that can be used on a simple, two-sided box call is a good thing for anyone to do.
