Whose elk hunting this year? Archery or Gun? I think this list is short not many folks here with elk close to home.

I will be doing archery first and if I'm not really lucky then I will be rifle hunting.

Haven't decided yet. Fires in Oregon and the dry weather make it hard to go there and since there's no Elkatraz I wasn't sure if anyone was hunting in a party that I could hook up with (hint hint).

Long story short (that should be on my grave stone), I'm not sure yet.

make hay while you can....( my motto when it comes to being self employeed ) thus I have no clue how much time I'll be spending in the forest. Couple of us are setting up a camp with our pop up campers, close to town but a good area, and will be hunting whenver we can sneak away and hit the mtn. :)

I'm weeping a little...

The building I was suppose to have finished by July 1st didn't happen. Now I'm looking at a Oct 1 deadline (if everything goes right). Needless to say, my days are number. I may swallow five archery tags this year. It's killing me (kind of like asking Tiger Woods to miss the master's)! But, like Bruce says...make hay. I'll make up for lost time as soon as the building is completed! I'll be happy with a few days squeezed in here and there...all fingers crossed!

Best of luck everyone! ;)

Going to Colorado bow hunting for two weeks. Then once I return I'll start bow hunting whitetails and grouse hunting. Then I've got a North Dakota pheasant trip or maybe two along with hunting pheasants in SW Minnesota and in Iowa until rifle deer season rolls around. Then after that, it's back to pheasants until Jan 10th.
