Well Larry I'm very glad you connected. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you and Mel in Colorado but I'm sure happy you got that elk!!!

Note: If you're gonna hunt with a muzzle brake at least keep an earplug in the ear opposite your trigger hand. Shooting from a prone position will really blister an eardrum. If you got time before the shot put plugs in each ear. The active ear protectors like Walker's, EARs and Radians are really the best solution other than taking off the brake when hunting.

Radians work well for me.

Yeah, thanks Leo. I knew it would be loud, but with all the other stuff I did remember to do right, I completely forgot about hearing protection on the hunt.

Here is a picture of one of the guys with his Mulie buck. The background will give you some idea of how high and rugged we were. This guy took 5 of us all morning to get out of where he dropped.

Amen and Congrats Larry! What a gift! I am so excited for you! Sharing an experience like that with wife, brother and all the rest of us...you are indeed the man! I like the fact another one falls CASTER fashion.

I wish you good eating! But, I hafta admit, with mel's cooking, I feel sorry for your waistline!
