Well it ain't herding cats....but we'll probably have about as much success!

We're releasing 20 roosters up at camp for a Saturday Pheasant/Grouse hunt this weekend. We wanted to give it a try but couldn't release them too many days in advance as the yotes & hawks would have them cleaned out very quickly. 2 camp members released 12 on their own property near my house and then hunted for them 4 days later....the dogs found 11 piles of feathers in a 3 acre plot....yes it's that bad with predators lately.

Anyways...it should be a hoot with Whistle Pig/ Judd/ Woodhick/ Charles and the rest of crew scrambling through prickers & brush after the wily buggers.

Then a few of us are staying through for Monday's Bear season opener !!!! :fudd:

Well I hope the boys have good luck with the bear. On Saturday we released the 22 birds and then proceeded to hunt all day but the pheasants were pretty much gone. I have a theroy, I think they turned into ticks.

Yea we should have released them one by one at the sound of PULL!! During the first couple days of deer season they were all over the place. I think we named one the camp mascot.
