Still getting out there for day trips to the west side of Minnesota and the season is winding down. Birds are ultra spooky as we found on Monday. I thought we were in a honey hole in South Dakota on the 2nd place we hunted as the birds were flying every which way. I went around one side of a lake and Wiley worked the cattails while Jeff and his brother in law worked the other side. I've never seen that many birds get out from all sides and wouldn't be surprised if we saw 250 birds all told. Most out of range but we managed to take two birds and had a few misses as well. His brother in law has never been in snow or been on a pheasant hunt so it was nice to show him what that was all about. Just another great day in the field.
