Here is one you forgot Bruce. Knife!! Last year while I was headed to my tree stand early in the morn. I spotted this huge body siloetted against the sky. I left my bow at the tree stand and was setting up my decoy about 30 yds from the stand. I didn't move as the big bodied deer was coming closer to check out what was up. All I had was my buck knife on me so yep I took it out and was prepared to lunge at this monster with my knife. Well he stopped at about 25 yds. and stood there till the sun started to peek over the hill. It was a 5x5 that was curious and he started to snort and wheeze at the decoy. Well he spotted me moving and adjusting for the lunge and took off. Yes I really would have stuck the critter if I would have had the oppertunity. :o I again saw him later in the season but never close enough to get the shot. I have actually thought what it would be like to jump on one right below my stand sometimes. If I weren't 50 I just might be dumb enough to try it. :bash: Any way I am very partial to the stick and string but love to hunt upland birds as well as ducks. I do hunt with a rifle sometimes and love the long range challenges.

I love to hunt with my muzzleloader, and do so almost all the time. I occationally will pull out a thunder-stick but not very often.

My very most favorite way of hunting is any way I happen to be hunting at any given time. ;)
