I had a great hunt, eventhough it only lasted a very short time. Last night I wrote out the whole story and then my internet connection died when I hit submit. I tried to get it back but all was lost. Here a few pictures.

These first three pictures were taken right after I shot my cow. The pictures are darker than it really was.

Here is a picture one of the lucky hunter.

This is my favorite picture. Nothing beats hunting and having fun with family.

Sorry the pictures are so dark but I just don't have time to edit them.

I used a Model 7 CDL in .308.

I took her with one shot at 187 yards. My bullet choice wasn't the best in my option. I used a 165 Grain AccuBond. These bullets are very accurate but just didn't hold together on this elk. I hit her a little high and the bullet cliped the end of the should which blew the bullet up. The enterance into the chest cavitity was as big as a fist. The top of the lungs where hit hard by bullet and bone chunks but nothing made it to the other side of the chest cavitity.

Thanks Jack. I was wondering cause I was looking for a rifle to do elk hunting with. Remington seven CDL looks like plenty of gun. I presume with a great scope it sure would be versatile enough to getterdone.
