So I've been busy with work and saving my money, I decided to treat myself. It's a single shot, bolt action, cal .50 BMG, I've eyeing them for a long time and now I finally pulled the trigger on it. (no pun intended, I havent shot it.) I just wanted one because they're cool, they go a long ways, it's beefy, heck I dont know...Posted ImageThats the gun, bullet, and a sprite can...Posted ImageTheres the bullet and obviously a hot dog... They're Hornady 750-grain A-Max's leaving a 36 inch barrel at roughly 2850 fps. That gets you about 13,500 ft-lbs of energy....Nice

Now that is a real rifle. Possibly a bit stout on the recoil but nontheless a real rifle.

Yeah, I'm kinda excited to shoot it. LAR advertises it kicks like a 12 gauge, It has a 2 inch dia. muzzle brake on it. That should take the kick out of it, but its a trade-off cause that would make it insanely loud. It weighs just over 30 pounds...

Aaah the prospect of shooting a rifle where the cartridge looks and weighs like a $10 roll of quarters. I have seen video of gals shooting a BMG but they would not show their bruises either.

If ya wanna go plinking. We've got plenty of low riders driving around here. With the range that thing has, we can be at the shooting range and hit the low riders when they stop at every manhole cover to avoid bottoming out their rides.
