I have this 1950s era (?) Smith and Wesson 22 cal Air Rifle I would like to get repaired. It needs a general going over, new seals, etc.. It's a Model 77A. The rifle is in nice condition for it's age, and I think it might be worth repairing. I know they are no longer manufactured and the repair business was passed on - but that led to a dead end.
If anyone can tell me a little about the S&W air rifles I would apreciate it. And - does it have collector value if repaired?

All I've been able to dig up is the S&W Mod77 air rifle was manufactured from 1970-78.

Sorry, not much help but it might get someone looking in the right area of their reference texts.

I have one too that needs some repair as it won't hold any pressure any more. I bought it new and had the seals replaced locally but it still does not work. When it did work it did very well.
