I am still going through the motions. Get up at 4:00 am put the camo on, sometimes even putting it on the right way. Struggle out and set up and hear nothing at all. Now this morning I proceeded with getting up and getting dressed and then jumped in the truck and drove about a mile up a very bad road and it started raining, sat there a few minutes and turned around and came home. I would have had to walk through a field of tall grass and just did not have it in me to get soaked and then sit in the woods without moving for a couple of hours. Man this turkey hunting gets tough after a month of early get ups.

We have till 05/31/08 in NH. And I still have a date with the "Pond Gobbler".
To add insult to injury when I was at my parents house last night my mom told me about the gobbler shouting obscenities at their house from the woods out back. I grew up there. Wild turkeys? Unheard of. What a great success the restoration program has been all over.

It isn't over, till it's over. :help: I'm having a blast.

I'm still hunting in southern NH. I'm new to turkey hunting tho and have a real tough time finding any birds in my area. Can anyone help me?

Tagged out on a Jake this morning with only one more morning to hunt. 15.5 lb with a 4" beard. Sure had a good season with gobblers coming within range on 5 different hunts.

Congrats to you too Phil. Dang if I would not have had that Dr appt this morning I would have been there too. Can't make it tomorrow either. I promised my youngest son Rick I would go fishing with him.

Congrats Ric on those birds. Sounds like you had a good season. Eric and I were out this morning here in PA. Had one gobble both on and off the roost but he only came to within 75 or 80 yds and hung up. Oh well we have one more day here on Monday. So far that particular bird has cleaned out clocks but Monday is another day.
