Woody,

I'm excited for you my friend. I always tell folks the best way to bond with people in a new area is to hunt with them. People that don't hunt simply don't understand. You will share more and experience more than if you just simply went there.

Decide what animals you really want the most. Being "flexible" is NOT doing your PH a favor. They can do a so much better job for you if you know what you want to try for first. You will have bonus opportunities on things you are not pursuing. But don't go over there with the attitude of "whatever I can get." Chasing after something specific everyday makes for a much more enjoyable safari.

Good luck to you! And everyone else!

Look out South Africa here comes Woody and Huck! I wish like most of us to be there with you guys but I know I'll hear and read the best stories and see some great pics when you return - have a safe and incredible hunt. Maybe someday I'll hunt the dark continent with y'all.

Why are you nervous? You're too skinny for anything wanting to eat...

And, you'll smell like do-do if something catches you! :D

This is going to be fun...

Woody being nervious is natural. Take a couple of flashlights and plenty of batteries it is the dark Continent you know. Is the queen going along? If not that could be a big reason to be nervious. :D

Woody'll be elected as a Tribal chief and have to wear an awesome headdress before proforming a ritual dance without a shirt on so Huck better take lots of pics!
