I'm impressed with every ones set up and I like how Vcross targets are like the real deal style practice. :bigthumb:

I know there are a few more bowhunters on here and I know they have some great set ups too.

If I get to hunt this year  ... this will be my main hunting rig:

Posted Image

Setup:

Mathews DXT 60# 26.5" DL
T5 Quiver
Spot Hogg Hogg-It with wrap
QAD Pro HD rest
Doinker 7" Multi-rod stabilizer (this one has the Carter QD Gizmo)
G5 3/16" Meta Peep
808Bowslings wrist strap :D
Gold Tip arrows w/Montecs, Grim Reapers or Rage 2-blade

I might add a STS front mount type device

My Switchback XT has been demoted to back up status :)

As for practicing in hunting situations...it's a little difficult for me since I usually hunt in Iowa during November and I'd be crazy to put on all of my hunting clothes (pants, bib, jacket, face mask, etc.) to practice here in Hawaii w/80* temps. I'd be sweating bullets before I got out of the house. I hunt with a friend who sets up all of the stands (I just have to pick the one I want to go to) so I don't have any stands here either. I have tried shooting out of my 2nd story bedroom window though while standing on a chair

But if I lived where McBruce does (with all that snow) then I'd practice in hunting situations.

Jer I was wondering how long it would take to notice we have another south paw among us.

While I don't have a current photo of my rig you can see it from my signature. Although I don't use my stick and release arrow all the time.
I have a Q2 with a trophy taker arrow rest, Montana black gold three pin sight, r&r stabilizer, and carbon express 3D select arrows with 100 grain pig points and 100 grain muzzy 4 blades.

I unfortunately have to use a crossbow but here's a pic of my old Jennings Devastator. Been hunting with it for over 10 years and it's always been an excellent bow for an older one. :D

Here's Jason's pride and joy, his Mathew's Solo Cam. He'd have to tell you the details. That bow is freeking deadly in Jason's hands! :D

Thanks man, I really enjoy it. I served the string on that bow this week and I'm building my own arrows now.

Last week a friend of mine showed me how to strip the wing feathers from my turkey wings and make my own fletching. I have two bags of feathers from four kills labeled right wing and left wing. I'll be ordering a chopper soon and begin making my arrows with my own turkey feathers. Cool stuff.

Refreshing to see someone using just a stick and string to git r done. When I hunted archery much of it was with traditional equipment. Every deer I killed with traditional equipment was just as dead as one killed with something that has bells, whistles, cables, pulleys, shock absorbers and over drive.
