Last season i bought a new cva optima. The reason i bought it is all of the ads said the barrels are interchaingable like the tc oncore but i cant find barrels for it. All of the barrels i find are for optima elete. Does any body know if you can change barrels on the 209 mag?

I'm pretty sure that is right. The regular Optima can't be changed to a centerfire rifle or shotgun. The Optima Elite can however.

Jason I have the 2007 CVA catelog and there are 3 Optima models The Optima Elite which can be had in 45cal or 50 cal. and also center fire barrels in 222 rem, 222 bull, 22-250 bull, 223, 223 bull, 243, 270, 300 win mag, 300 win mag bull, 30-06, 308, 7mm-08 and 45-70 bull. No mention of a shotgun barrel. Then there is the Optima elite Compact that is offered in 45 and 50 cal, a 223 and a 243 barrel again no mention of a shotgun barrel. Then there is the optima pro thumbhole which is only offered in 45 or 50 cal. Then there is the regular optima pro also only in 45 or 50 cal. Then the optima and they only show a 50 cal for this. As I paged back to the Optima elite and Pro Bergara Barrel page there is a muzzleloader 12 ga barrel for the optima pro and a centerfire 12 ga for the optima elite. I can see where confusion could rein supreme trying to figure out just what they offer.
