If I had to select just one means of hunting, I would have to say rifle. :boone: It's the way I was brought up (dad taught me how to hunt). My second choice would be compound bow. :peace:

My favorite way is with shotgun, and then compound bow.

Compound bow & shotgun for me. Nothing like hunting from the ground within bow range of a deer.

Though I love all types of hunting, for myself I have to admit I love to hunt with my T/C Encore the best. I just love the feel of that rifle and the comfort knowing that if I can see a big buck he's mine. Though some see it as a draw back I like the idea of it being a single shot. it makes you think about your shot and take the time to do it right. A close second though would be hunting with a recurve. Back to basics is just plain fun!

I would like to reply Bow, either recurve or compound but I can no longer shoot those. Since I have not yet hunted with a crossbow I can't say that either. I absolutely love hunting with a muzzleloader so I guess that is my favorite followed very closely by a modern day rifle.

Paul, I have to use a crossbow now too but I still love a recurve. Muzzleloaders are fast becoming a passion too. :D

Norm #7 is the greatest way. I have had more chances at deer with my flintlock than any other choices you mentioned. I used to really get into hunting with the bow but life has me in a bunch of other things (kids) :zipped: but I can live with that. Now # 1 is the most convenient and I love it but # 7 is still near and dear to my heart. PA and I have had more fun than you can shake a stick at with the smoke poles. :fudd:

I'd have to say Bow {but only because "spotlighting" wasn't among the choices} :o)

That's cause they confinscate your gear and throw you in jail for spotlighting here in Missouri. Not to mention a hefty fine.

- Compound Bow
- Muzzleloader
- Rifle

I will be hunting with my muzzleloader for the first time this year. Because of the "1X or less" optics restriction in Wisconsin, it will be up close and personal, just like bowhunting. I know I will definatley enjoy it.
