Well I didn't do a lot of talking about this trip , in part I wasn't 100% sure it was going to happen.

I drew a Norther Sask Moose tag this year and the outfitter I drew it through had some issues to get resovled in the purchase of his lodge and changing over of ownerships.

Well everything finaly came together and I leave Thursday night/Friday morning on a 26 hour drive to LaRonge Sask. Canada. From there I get on a float plane and am taken out to the lodge, and from there am transfered onto the outfitters float plane and taken to a spike camp out on a lake someplace. It is a 7 day hunt, Moose and Bear. Will be rifle hunting this time.
Might take my bow along for a bear hunt, once we get the job at hand done on the moose. All depends how much room I have in the SUV. I get back around the 24th. Hopefully if we score, I'll be able to do a post from the lodge. But we'll see.

In anycase. everyone play nice and get out there hunting. there is a cool nip in the air, its hunting season :)

My son and I leave in two weeks for northern Ontario to bowhunt for moose. Unfortunatelt, we didn't draw a bull or cow tag this year, so unless we get a chance at a calf (that would be rare), all of the moose we shoot will be with a Kodak.

We're still going though as we can pop a few grouse, do some 4wheeling, canoeing, fishing and of course bond. It's my one weeks holidays that I wouldn't miss for the world.

Git 'er done Bruce. Best of luck with the moose and bear.

Oh by the way, if you happen to see a moose accompanied by a small squirrel wearing a WWII flying helmet and goggles and being chased by a stubby Russion spy named Borris Badenough, please pass on him!

Geoff / TBow (No doubt about it. I got'ta get a new hat!)

Thanks guys.
the bags are packed. Man I am so unprepaired to go on this trip.
I'm here pulling up the applications I need to take my rifle into canada. Just dawned on me. where is my passport. can't find my tackle box. ( good thing Pat pulled out a bag of lures from when we went with Mark F a couple of years ago ) and said here take these with ya.

Work has been simply consuming the last 2 months.

its going to be a good break and get away.

thanks everyone.

TBOW I would NOT shoot Bullwinkle. Now Rocky might want to watch out ;)
