Eric and I went to a local rifle range actually the range of the sportsmans club we just joined.

On the hopes of being drawn we will be using custom 7mm Mags. We needed to fireform some ammo to have enough reloadable empties. We had never shot 160 gr bullets so we loaded 3 each of them to try.

I also had purchased one of those sims barrel deresonators and had it on for about half of the shots and for the three 160 gr shots.

Here is what that target looked like.

The target was a measured 100 yds the day was hot with a bit of mirage thrown in. Oh by the way the squares are 1 inch. I don't know if the deresonator had any thing to do with the group but I ain't moving it or taking it off.

I was rather proud of that little group out of a lightweight hunting rifle.

That is some excellent shooting... that is a good cartridge and it looks like a great rifle to boot. Good luck with your elk hunting..
