Well after contemplating for some time on whether or not to take these out and try to capture anything, I've finally got close to all I think I need. There are still a few tidbits I'd like to snag for it.

I've taken it out archery hunting a few times which really changes how and where you set up etc. Here are two frames of video from Monday afternoon.

Looks way nice. You need a partner to run it for ya while you hunt and vice a versa.

Cool shots.

That's a black rat snake and he doesn't look to healthy.

It is a black rat snake, he was coiled up on the access road I was walking in on. At the time, the temperature was in the low 50's. He was pretty lethargic and I picked it up with a stick and moved it off the road. It was gone the following afternoon. The doe shot is grainy from the gain cranked on camera because it was about 6:45pm, and the lens was zoomed in 3/4 of the way so any available light was all but gone. For anyone considering buying a new video camera, Canon's HV20 (the small silver one) takes awesome HD video (but is not pictured above).

Yep that makes sense to me and I almost mentioned the possibility of the temperature making it look a bit sick. The mouth a gap is not normal. Still is a very good photo of one.
