well worked until 8pm fri. then drove to me buddies was foggy and at times couldn't see more then 30yrds. got there and we loaded up and headed for camp weather was getting worse. sleeted and snowed on us all weekend. not the best weekend for hunting. ok thats all the bad now the good. about 8:30 sat morning we spot a bunch out a ways headed along a fence line other side of the fence is Mont. so i take off running along a ridge just out of sight of them(did i mention i hate running)keep popping my head over the ridge to see were they are and run some more. finaly i deside i better stop or im going to have a heart attack(god i hate running) i belly craw just over the ridge so i can take aim(rifle hunt). get the buck in my sights and im breathing so hard can't even come close to holding steady, so i take a few deep breaths and try again. at this time the buck is out there about 250yrds. i take aim old steady and squeeze the trigger. right through the heart. he isn't the biggest buck around probable about average for the area. he mesured at about 14 inches. my buddy got his a little while after that next day i filled my 2 doe tags so we came back with 4 antilope. another great hunt. :D

Congratulations other than the running sounds like it was a real fun time.

14 inches is a darn nice antelope!

Scoring an antelope also includes the cutter measurement and four mass measurements. These measurements can account for over half the score! The reason I bring that up is it is absolutely possible for a 14 inch antelope to make the Boone and Crockett book if his cutters are long enough and the horns are massive enough.

Don't stop measuring at just horn length. He might be better than you think ;)
