Woo Hoo Sean, tell Bruce to hurry up and get those pics posted,
I wondered what the meat would taste like also.

Oh no Bruce has such a fear and distaste of Mt Lions we may never see them. Oh by the way you dare not come to central PA and proclaim your prowess as a Mt Lion hunter. Joe Paterno is liable to hit you with his cane. (They are the Penn State Nittany Lions).
If God had a refrigerator would your picture be on it.

If you look in the gallery you can see all of Whip's Lion pictures. Very nice Tom and the terrain you were in looks like a challenge for this ole flatlander. Congrats again.

Thanks Rowdy! McBruce said he would post the pics I sent him as well. This was a very challenging hunt for me and I appreciate all the kind words. I am very proud of this lion.

I was hoping I helped out by posting your one picture.

You ought to be proud of that lion. I'm still figuring out if I'm envious - I'd love to do that hunt some time but the physical challenge to get in better shape than what I'm in now would be the kicker

That will make a great rug. Beautiful lion! Getting him done on felt with an open mouth? Or are you gonna bite the big bucks and go lifesize?

sorry guys....for some reason, I can't access the links from webshots to post here. I hate computers.

all of the photos Sean sent me are on my webshots site , under the album Seans Mtn Lion.

Yea that is an impressive cat. I'd love to get one someday...dont know if my knees and back could take the beating anymore.

Leo, I am getting a lifesize mount done of him. It is going to cost me, but in my opinion you can't put a price on something like this. By the time I pay for taxidermy I will have broken even on what a guided hunt would cost. I was very fortunate to have a friend with such accomplished lion hounds willing to take me out just for fun. Right now I am just getting him tanned until I can afford to pay for it all. Huck and I have some hunts planned that are going to drain me financially for a while....he always does this to me!!! lol. Thanks again guys.
Also, I posted a few good pics in my photo album here on HR. Look there if you want to see a few more shots of him.

Good job Whip. As for eating Mountain Lion, the old mountain men prefered it over all other meat.

Congrats Sean! I agree, this is by far the most physically challenging hunt I have ever been on! You did well young man! I am happy for you!
