Hey you even got my best side.

either that is a big open field or a frozen over lake you're crossing. That looks like some good snow there. You might need some snowshoes soon.

You are right cayugad that was in the middle of a field on a hilltop. WP and I had walked in only about 45 min before and most places our tracks were blown shut. This locale is in the snow belt from lake Erie and gets hammered with snow. The owners son told me that officially they had got over 105 inches so far this year. Man I am sure glad it comes and goes or I would have been in some deep snow. In the woods, note Phils pic the snow was knee deep most places. In a few spots it was nearly waist deep. Absolutely nothing was out and about except for a few goofy flintlock hunters.

That snow was new fallen. We arrived during a light snow Fri. night and it really came down between 2:30am & dawn....then squalls right to lunch time. LOL...4 hunters fell asleep for an hour nap right after lunch. Wish we had a pic of Paul with the dog asleep on top of him. We joked how Cayugad would've been out there in shorts !
