Taxidermist told me he would get on it right away but I was surprised at how fast - took him about 2 months!!!!!

You can't see all the points because some of them come off the back of the brow tines but there are 18 that are at least 1 inch!!!

Nicely done and I like the pose.

Wow Vickie that is one nice mount. You sure did well with the taxidermist. 2 months is possibly a record time for a mount.

Very nice there Vicky, I hope my mount looks as good as yours but I don't think mine will get back in record time like yours. LOL

Wow! That was a fast turn around. I'm still waiting for a couple of my mounts.

Do you know where the taxidermist got the cape tanned? That seems to be the bottle neck right now.

He does all his own work. When we took him the deer he had quite a few horns & quite a few hides soaking so when he told me he would get right on mine I didn't think he really would - actually got the mount back a couple of weeks ago but have been having touble getting back here (I think it has to do with our firewall). He has a really great set up - has some deer in a pen so he watches and studies them - I don't know if you could tell by the pic but the nose has a little shine on it like it is wet on a cold morning - he listed to the story of my hunt & added a few "extras" like that - great job & the price was the best I have seen.

Vickie you Georgia gals can wrap we guys around your little finger. Actually there are very few taximermists that do their own hides. Looks good though.

Double checked to make sure - that both taxidermists that we have used tan their own hides - we saw them in various stages of the process when we dropped of my deer - in fact my husband had built one of the fleshing machines for the guy who did mine two years ago and this guy discussed how they did it & how he has a man working with him who does a most of the fleshing & tanning on site. There is one guy in town who sends his off but we have never taken anything to him.

Think you're really gonna like your mirror Vickie. The decal turned out pretty nice too.
