I've long known that old saw blades make awesome knives, as does old files and old leaf springs from vehicles. Those blades from a saw mill in particular are very sought after. They have a great temper from use. I too make knives, now and then, but my blades are made from flint. :D
This is one I made for myself years ago. The beads in the necklace are also hand made.

The blade in this particular knife is an original Archaic, possibly Paleo, blade aprox 7,000 years old or older. A personal find. It is set into the deer antler handle in the manner it would have originaly been, using glue made from deer hooves and wrapped in sinew.
