Have an elk herd hanging out near our place and the Blizzard of 2009 hit...great chance for some photos.

By the looks of the tracks there are way more elk than in the picture.

150-200 in the herd....most had topped up over the ridge when I was able to get in place and get the shots.

Very nice, thanks for the pictures. My Dad and brother in law saw a herd of 30+ minus all the snow just the other day.

Thanks for the pics. But I do have a small problem. Why did you leave them out all winter. They seem to have shrank to the size of ants. No wonder they are so hard to find during the season. Oh they are not close, never mind.
If God had a refrigerator would your picture be on it.

Very nice shots Bruce. Are you using a polarizing filter or was the light real friendly for snow pictures?
