Just finished a great weekend of archery turkey hunting with Huck here in Nebraska. We called in numerous toms and got them anywhere from 5 to 30 yards. We videotaped the hunts as well and there is some amazing footage. We hunted in the rain all day Saturday with no luck, but it warmed up Sunday and we got at least 9 birds withing archery range. Huck killed a great tom as did my friend Jon Bentley (owner of the property we hunted). The birds are starting to respond well to calling and it should be a great season. I hope to take some of my other close friends and get them some turkeys as well (hopefully I can score too!). Shotgun season should be a breaze after the weekend we had. I will let Huck post his pictures...pretty cool stuff! Thunder Chickens Rule!

Here's the story of my spring '09 turkey season up to this point. Sorry for the delay, I've had a lot on my plate (up until three o'clock today, I been busy working on a huge government contract. Yippy skippy, we won the bid! More crazy work starts Tueday).

I would like to thank Sean for making this hunt happen! Although you Nebraska boys (did you notice the word "boys") claim to be able to stir fires with body parts, there is absolutely no doubt Nebraska men can hunt! I thank you greatly!

X2 - Huck and Whip always seem to have the best of it. I wonder if any of these hunts ever get submitted to the many magazine about hunting?

Rowdy,
Our caribou hunt story titled "A dash to Quebec" was published in the 1st Edition of Bowhunter Australia (2008 Annual Edition)......author was William Nelson. Hopefully we can get some more articles out in the future.
