Better clean your cheaters. If they are like the ones around here you may be shooting into the next time zone. Good luck to you. :D

This antelope huntin stuff is harder than I thought. The closest my spotter and I could get to the herd yesterday was 452yrds, and the one we did sneak up on was 80yrds but turned out to be a small buck...and I have doe tag. Today I was out half a day and they were all in a gulley out of the wind next to a ranch home.

Today I gave in and changed out my scope on my 30-06, took the 2.5x off and put my 4-12x AO Bushnell on. So now at least I can SEE them when they are 452yrds away. I guess since I am out west I really DO need a big scope.

Tomorrow I guess I'll give the antelope a try in the morn, then sneak back to E3 and see how the guys are doing. I hope the snow drove the elk right into their laps.

Good luck tomorrow! Hopefully being able to see them will make it easier to get close and get a shot at one. :D Have fun!!

I got some shots and passed on others due to houses in the background. None of the shots were under 400yrds I believ and I missed. So I guess I need to fine tune my rifle and do more long range shooting.

I probably missed be cause my scope was 4" left. I took the gun shooting today after I adjusted the scope ( I suspected it was off cause I usually dont miss )
to correct it and at 25yrds I aced the bull and at 100 yrds I was 4.5 inches high. I set it to 3" high and shot a 1" group 3" above the bulley. Oh well theres always next seaon. I smell elk...
