Hey guys, Huck and I are leaving tomorrow to bowhunt musk ox in the Canadian Arctic. We will be driving to Yellowknife, NWT and flying from there to Holman Island in the Arctic Ocean. 3 days of travel up, then a five day hunt. Wish us luck and we will post the results when we return.

That sounds like a real adventure. Aaah the joys of flying with a bush pilot. Can't wait to hear back how the hunt went. Good luck and God's speed.

Will told me about it last week - sounds like an awesome trip.

Have fun, be safe, shoot straight and for goodness sakes TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!

Look forward to seeing and hearing about all the fun.

Sean and I made it to Woody's castle. We'll be staying with the crusty dog and the Queen tonight (Saturday). Then, it's back on the road in the morning. Our hosts in Alberta are delightful as ever. Sean and I are both looking forward to the forthcoming hunt (Sean more than I...I think he has inuit babes on his mind).

We had a great visit, Woody BBQued and served some burgers along with Potato Salad, we shared some Adult beverages supplied by Huck and Sean, they left around 8:00 am Sunday for the remainder of the drive to Yellowknife (about 15 hours). We were so happy to see Huck again and meet Whip, great guys both of them!!! They are interesting, pleasant and fun to visit with, time flew by so fast, we were so busy enjoying our time with them that we only managed to snap a couple of pictures. They do plan on stopping again on their way home and we are looking forward to seeing them again. If you ever get a chance to meet either one, do not pass up the opportunity, you will not be disappointed. They are first class people!

Made it back safely! We had a great trip and both harvested very nice musk ox. I think I finally figured out how to post pics. I don't have any pics of Huck's musk ox.....but just imagine an animal half the size of mine with three legs and milk around it's mouth. LOL :). A very big thank you to Woody and Queen for their hospitality. It was a fun hunt and a great experience!
