I finally got my CCW and will be carrying both a 9mm semi auto and an over-under 9mm derringer. Both are loaded with Hornady 124 gr. JHP/XTP 9mm Luger ammo. I think Jason calls them TAP rounds? I'll be getting rid of the 9mm semi auto down the line. Saving up for something like a Kel Tec, but not sure what caliber yet. What calibers, and kinds of ammo, would you all recomend? I think the 9mm TAP rounds will work great in the derringer but I'll be wanting more stopping power, and distance, in a semi auto. I'm in no hurry so giving my options a LOT of thought. :)

I haven't found what speeds commercial ammo is loaded to but if it is anywhere near max loads for the 9mm Luger with 125 gr jacketed bullets it should be spitting them out somewhere from 1050 to 1150 fps. That should get someones attention.
