I've got a Summit Viper that I've had for about 10 years or so. The biggest problem I've had with it thus far is staying awake sometimes, as it's so dadgum comfy! Ain't fell yet.....touch wood!

There is a specific model of lock on that is affected by the recall. The climbers are not affected by this recall Geoff.

Thanks Leo. I think they came up with this design of strap with this past years line up of hang-on or fixed style treestands cause the older strap (that I have) doesn't fit this past years' stands.

Sounds like Lab coat guy was reading too many letters and not paying attention to testing and research. Actually no tree stand is completely safe. One moment of distraction can put you in traction. When putting up any treestand pay very close attention to all the details, it could save your life.
