I shot my used CVA Staghorn today. The pitted bore had no effect on loading, especially for powerbelts. The two shots landed side by side about 1" apart from 35 yds. I noticed that the rear sight could be pushed left or right easily and attribute that for the group being 4" right of POA. Put a scope on it and it'll be good to go.


Don't pray for a light load. Pray for a strong back.

Now that is good news. I have read about pitted barrels shooting well so glad yours is in that group.
If God had a refrigerator would your picture be on it.
Remember the Ark was built by amateurs, the titanic by professionals.
