My son Dan and his crew from Hulcher Services were sent from Hudson Wi. this morning to help with snow removal in Pennsylvania, I dont know exactly where yet, I would assume it would have something to do with the rail system though. Sounds like he is bringing lots of equipment, and picking up more from different divisions along the way. He loves this white gold, lol

Strange weather this year the south got more snow than the north. I live in north central Pa. and we got a whole 4" of snow last night but I know that to the south they got a lot more. Well now to get ready for the cold the next few days a going to be pretty chilly.

There was over a foot just sitting on top my truck when I woke up this morning. (Barely a dusting in the grass when I went to bed.) Frankly, I don't feel like going out there or I'd snap a pic.

Here in central PA we got about 7 or 8 inches. It must have really blew also because I have a 2 - 3 foot drift at the top of my house roof. Our neighborhood was abuzz with neighbor helping neighbor. I have a 45 inch snowblower on a 20 horse cadet and several neighbors have blades on 4 wheelers. One guy is a contractor and has a huge blade on a skid steer and our local farmer was back with a farm tractor with a blade on it. That much equipment made the job almost effortless.

Cresson Mountain had over 2 feet and it was still snowing. We got 6 inches here so the snowblower got an hour exercise this morning. Southwestern PA has a major power outage with 230,000 folks without electricity tonight. I was wondering if Jeremiah got whacked but see from his post that things must be ok.....hope PATurbo is alright?Posted Image

As of 6:00PM, just under two feet of snow officially recorded at Pittsburgh International. The road I live on has been closed most of the day. There are a couple downed wires (cable - no power lines) in yards that, obviously, aren't going to be repaired for a while. I was actually very happy to wake up with electricity and cable both still working as things were flickering last night. Other than needing snow shoes and foot power to get around it's alright my way.

Paturbo checking in. We had a total of 27 inches here at the house. The snow was half way up on my Dodge Ram truck. Took some pictures today but for some reason can't post them on here. Our landlord's son came over around 4 pm and plowed us out with a big duel wheel tracktor, this thing had a huge blade on it and it really moved some snow around. We dug the wife's car out and will dig the truck out tomorrow. From where he pushed the snow there are some piles higher them I stand tall. I'll send some pictures to Woody by email and have him post them for me. We did not loose our electric but my sister did and she live's just over the mountain from me in MD. Called her again at 10 pm and the electric was not on as of yet. They do have a generator that is running the heat for them. Told them to come on over here if they wanted to but she said that they were OK. I don't think this snow is going anywhere fast with the cold weather headed in. Posted Image

Glad everyone is alright. The snow we got barley gave the 4-weeler with blade a workout but it was fun.
