Just bought a clean S&W .32 Mag revolver. Good looking gun but I have never shot that round. Anyone know anything about it?

Thanks,

DW

Hi Dave I am Paul, good friend with smilin Norm. I looked in several of my reloading manuals and the only 32 Mag listed is called the 32 H & R Mag. This mag was the result of Harrington & Richardson and Federal Cartridge Company working together to develop it. It was introduced in 1984. It essentially is an elongated 32 S&W Long Case but loaded to much higher pressures and velocities. 32 H&R Mag handguns can shoot both 32 S&W and 32 S&W Long cartridges as well. Muzzle energy rivals 38 special loads making it usable for self defense and also useful for hunting small game and informal target shooting. My Book lists both the 85 and 100 grain jacketed bullets and 90 grain wad cutter and semi wad cutter. Sure hope this helps.

If you reload. I had very good luck with Hodgdon HS6 and the Hornady swaged bullet. Also Bullseye with a cast bullet, both loads gave 1000+ from a 4 5/8 SSM. I'll be trying Lil"Gun soon.

Thanks K. I'll start it out with factory ammo and see how it shoots.
