Jason decided to go accross the road from our house this morning and scout where we hunt. He said he didn't hear a single gobble on the roosty. But, as he sat watching a clearing where we often see both deer and turkeys, two Jakes stepped out right below our tree stand. He said they both were pretty big for just being Jakes. As he sat watching them he suddenly hear a very loud gobble between himself and the Jakes. Suddenly a large Tom came barreling out of the woods oposite the Jakes and made a bee line straight for them. He then proceedeed to whip the tar out of both Jakes. I sure wish I'd have gone out with Jason. I would have loved to have seen that. Well, we know there's at least one Boss Tom over there. Jason said he's a real bruiser. Can hardly wait to give him a try. Posted Image

Norm was that near where you and I set up that morning?

That is great, you can get there in no time and little walking involved either. Go get em.

Jason what we elders lack in speed we make up for in downright deceit and trickery. Good luck to you two on your quest for those huge birds you all have out there. I am hoping that you and your dad get turkeys so big that you have to cut em in half just to get them out of the woods. Eric and I have a few gobblers all lined up for our season too. Now if they just cooperate with us.
