Hey guys! I have been away for a while. My research has been keeping me busy. I havn't had a chance to talk to the members in a while and thought I would see what everyone will be hunting this year. I know Huck and Marty have some awesome hunts planned. So tell me about your year!

mild compared to Marty's post :)

I put in for Wy Prong horn with the PA boys. put in for Bear/Deer/Elk in Co. Thinking of doing a Co Prong horn hunt as well ( archery )

Big chunk came out of hunting this year...due to it being my wifes 20th anniversary of putting up with me. We are planning on an Alaskan Cruise ( and I'm not allowed to take any hunting gear with me )

next year gonna do some upland bird hunting in Nebr and hopefully some goose hunting in South Dakota.

Fishing in Kentucky next weekend, then possibly wild turkey with a bow in three weeks, fishing in and around Ohio this summer since I didn't wet a line in Ohio last year, in October I might be meeting up with Mike in Tenn. to hunt for a couple of days, then whitetail again fall season. My job jar is rather full around the house right now plus we're doing renivation to the house and that is $$ going that way. Like Bruce I have an anniversary to remember - since my wife has put up with my looney tunes for 35 years this May, we are going on a nice out west vacation to revisit some grand vista we visited just after we were wed.

Sounds great guys! I leave for safari in Africa May 12th, so that is coming right up....Hopefully taking about 15 animals. After that I will be hunting pronghorn and mulies or whitetails in NE, then Mt. lions in CO. I am hopefully hunting elk in Washington, but we will see how the year pans out. Didn't draw any of the tags I applied for this year, so more preference points mainly. I am planning a Yukon moose hunt for next fall and a big game hunt in Argentina for next spring, so I probably won't have the means to squeeze in much more this year. I will be tearing up the mountains with Huck for elk most likely even if I don't get a tag....someone has to make sure he doesn't hurt himself ;) lol. Have a great year fellas and I will update you on Africa when I return.

SOS for me. Gobblers now til May 23. Then rifle antelope, rifle elk, and rifle mulies in fall. No idea on what units for big game til the draws come out in June. Our plan is to hunt closer to home this whole year and I am in a mulie and turkey hot spot as often as I get to go now. But the tag draws, or more appropriately lack of tag draws, pretty much dictates where we'll hunt. I say we,but if wife gets Asst Principal job then she probably will not take off any days to hunt. But I'm so used to going it alone for so many years that I no longer care whether I have a pard or not. Good thing on tags is there's always OTC bull elk tags if I dont draw the RFW tags we put in for. Mule deer will probably be Black Hawk on leftover as no one wants to hunt the casino unit( despite it's many huge bucks I've seen but not outsmarted).

Speaking of gobblers, we have been having fits with them here in NE. The weather in the western part of the state has been so rotten that they are just not hot and bothered yet....no response to calls. They are all still henned up. It is quite frustrating. Hopefully they get going here in a week or two.
