Ok, I know it's frowned upon to shoot turkeys while they're in the trees but dang it if they come down they'll get washed away! Only way to get one is with a fish landing net! Try and scoop one up as it washes by. It rains any more and we'll have to climb up in the trees with them! Posted Image All joking aside, this season's repeating last season. It's rained almost every day. Was hoping to go out this morning but more storms blew in with heavy rain, lightning and hail. The few times we did get out the temps were cooler than normal and the turkeys gobbling was almost nonexistant. Hoping for a better week coming up. Jason and I are going to try the Drury-Mincy Wildlife Area again. Hoping the creeks will be low enough to cross by monday. We plan to do a lot of walking and to get back into areas others are afraid, or just too lazy, to walk into. With 5,000 acres there has to be a dry spot and a turkey somewhere. Posted Image
