This shoot took place in June.

Well we finally made it out for our first gopher shoot of the year after waiting for the rain to stop. It`s been a really wet summer.
Anyways, the three of us managed to shoot about 300 gophers using anything from .22, .22mag, 17HMR, .223, 12ga, and a .243. Was a great day. The joke of the day was my buds calling for "Artillery"(my .243) when the longer shots were needed. Going out again in a few weeks.
We rounded up a few for pics and left the rest which were pretty well canibalized. The farmer who`s land we shoot on only wants us to bring a bucket full for his barn cats.

An awesome day it looks like and a lot of practice to. I do that when I head out west for my annual deer hunt. A lot of dog towns out in the sand hills area of Nebraska.

Way to go, Ron. Now you have a reason to go out and buy that 45 70.Then, when they ask for artillery, you've got it.
