Oh boy the writer could have been looking over my shoulder my first couple of outings for spring gobbler. My miss at about 60 yds wasen't from youthful misssteps but I felt exactly the same way he did. It was my son that after I shot asked why didn't you wait till it was closer. So sorry about Mr Kirby's passing he sure contributed much to all our efforts to bag a tom in the spring.
If God had a refrigerator would your picture be on it.
Remember the Ark was built by amateurs, the titanic by professionals.

Richard introduced me to turkey hunting through his instructional cassette and the hunt of the Boss Gobbler of Letchworth Canyon.

Thanks for the help Richard. Quaker Boy is my number one choice of diaphragm turkey calls. RIP!
