What power scope is the best. I prefer at least a scope that can be adjusted to 10 -12 power. Infact on my 7mm Mag I have a scope that goes from 6 - 18 power and love it. I know all the hype of using a low power scope in the brush but since I am not really skilled in running shots I prefer more power in the brush to allow me to see the holes through it better. What power do you prefer and why.

I think it all depends on where you hunt. atound here a 3 X 9 is the most popular. That does all I need one to do.

I use a 5x15x50 on one toy, and a 6x24 on another toy. The 45 70 has a 3x9 sitting on it. I have done more shots on full power with the long reachers than on the lesser settings, as most shots around where I hunt are a little long. If in the thickets then the 45 70 set on 3x is great. it helps old eyeballs see the sticks.
